The first step when packing your belongings is to make sure you are well-equipped. You'll need plenty of different size boxes, newspaper, bubble wrap and labeling tape. Fill any extra space with tissue paper or bubble wrap, this will help protect fragile items. Labeling Your Boxes
Once all of your items are packed away into their relevant boxes it's time to label them appropriately. Labeling gives you an overview of exactly what is packed in each box and allows anybody else helping in the move to easily identify which box they should handle carefully and which can go in any order. Numbering your boxes is also useful if you have many of them – this allows you keep track of where each box should go at its destination. In terms of labeling each box itself, clearly list what’s inside on either one side or separate corners of the box; assigning different colored tapes for different rooms can also help organize even further once the move comes around.
